Children
Ministry
We have a Sunday school to teach them the Bible on their level of understanding. There are over 1,540 verses in the Bible about children. Jesus was concerned about children. Jesus said in Mark 10:14 “…Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God”. We want the children to come and be accepted. Mark 9:37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: I invite you to come a few minutes early and meet their teacher.
Orchestra
Ministry
The Bible teaches we should make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Ps 100:1 says “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands”. The belief that it should be unto the Lord is something emphasized from the first day the orchestra started in October 2016. Col 3:23 “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men…” God has blessed in giving us this ministry and it is a blessing to see people challenged and encouraged to play for God.
Men’s Prayer and Discipleship Ministry
Saturdays at 8:00 a.m. the men meet for songs, spiritual strengthening, and prayer. Mark 3:14 says “And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,” This discipleship is something needful for men to be strong. When we have strong spiritual men, we have strong homes, and that gives us a strong church. One of the things the men do is take time to pray for the Pastor.
Fellowships
The giving forth of doctrine, fellowship and the breaking of bread often go together. It is a biblical principle. Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. The fellowship should be around Christ, not just worldly things and activities. We have regular fellowships at the church.
Counseling Ministry
We offer free Biblical Counseling. We confidentially offer personal, marriage preparation, marriage, and family counseling. 1. We try to discern behavior and thinking that needs to change. 2. Give them God’s word, which is what changes people. Rom. 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. 3. Show them how to apply it. 4. This teaching and benefits of the counselee is done for the Glory of God. 1 Cor. 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
